Last Friday, on April 26th, 2024, a remarkable milestone was etched in the annals of the Social Care community as Kier Dungo, the Chair and Founder of Filipinos in Care United Kingdom, was bestowed with the Chief Nurse Adult Social Care Gold Award during the illustrious launch of Filipinos in Care UK in London. The prestigious medal, presented by none other than Professor Deborah Sturdy herself, symbolizes not only Kier's individual achievement but also the collective recognition of the invaluable contributions of Filipinos in the realm of care.
Kier's journey in Social Care commenced in 2018, and in the span of just a few short years, he has ascended to senior positions within the esteemed Maria Mallaband Care Group Ltd (MMCG). His tenure has been marked by a series of remarkable accomplishments, from turning a care home under his management into an MMCG flagship establishment to earning accolades such as Registered Care Home Manager of the Year and Care Home of the Year. These achievements are a testament to Kier's unwavering commitment to excellence and his exceptional leadership abilities.
What sets Kier apart is not just his impressive resume, but also his role as a trailblazer and mentor within the Adult Social Care community. As the first Filipino to receive the CNO Gold award, Kier embodies the epitome of dedication, passion, and excellence in the field. His remarkable contributions have not only elevated standards within his own care group but have also served as a guiding light for aspiring nurses and leaders.
Kier's distinction as one of the youngest nurses to hold such a senior position in a well-known Care Group like Gold Care Homes is a testament to his exceptional skills and capabilities. His success is a shining example of the adage "hard work pays off," and serves as a beacon of hope and motivation for colleagues and peers alike.
Congratulations, Kier Dungo, on this well-deserved honour! Your achievements not only inspire admiration but also ignite a sense of pride and possibility within the Adult Social Care sector and the Filipino Community.
